Interior furnishing for a family vacation house. Located in the costal region of Catalonia, on one of the wild cliffs of Costa Brava, the house is overlooking Mediterranean Sea. The architecture (by This is Arquitectura) is simple in its forms, integrated in a landscape, and allowing to enjoy it from all levels of the house. Views from the windows are creating the impression of looking at art work – nature.
The request from clients was not to overwhelm the space with items, neither physically nor emotionally. The visual character of interior was aligned to the architectural shapes of the house – straight lines and simple volumes. Light tonalities, with some contrast in details, and natural breathing materials are softening the straight forms. As the finishing materials correspond to the hot weather conditions – floor tiles and concrete – textured fabrics and wood are giving a touch of warmth. This is a place where to take a seat and get blown away by the beauty of the sea and cliff scenery…
